What is ELDOA?
ELDOA is a 6 level Education Program

Level 1
The ELDOA Level 1 Certification Course – The Most Frequently Used ELDOA of the Spine – is designed for the client-practitioner with minimal or NO formal training in classic spine biomechanics or descriptive anatomy.
Lecture topics include: Who is Guy VOYER, DO
The History of the ELDOA,
What are the Goals of the ELDOA?
Introduction to Spine Biomechanics and the Functional Spine Unit of Junghans
Back Pain: Treat the Symptoms vs. ELDOA: Address the Cause.
A mastery of the anatomy and biomechanics at this level is not necessary!
In the ELDOA Level 1 Course, it is more important that student-practitioners begin to learn how to think and problem solve – “How is it possible to do a movement for this region?” The course is designed so any person can enroll and, within two days, learn and confidently use the most frequently used ELDOA of the spine.
At the end of the course, participants receive a Certificate of Completion as a Student-Practitioner for Level 1.
Level 2
ELDOA Level 2 Certification Course – The ELDOA of the Spine – is a three-day course.
The first day is a review of ELDOA 1.
In days 2 and 3, Kapandji spine biomechanics and descriptive anatomy are taught. Students learn the ELDOA postures of the spine from the level of L5-S1 to C2-C3 and the Factors of Progression are introduced.
Introduction to Dura Mater & Cerebral Spinal Fluid (CSF)
Teaching Principles – Awareness, MFS, Lemniscate – & Factors of Progression
Primary Respiratory Mechanism (PRM
Importance of a Home Program
Discussions and Theories
Level 3
ELDOA 3 is the Peripheral Joints – ribcage and sternum, shoulder complex, and coxo-femoral joint.
This Certification course begins with a review of ELDOA 1 and 2.
Prerequisites: Completion of ELDOA Level 2 in the Comprehensive Certification Program.
Course Objectives:
Review of ELDOA Levels 1-2
Descriptive Anatomy and Kapandji Biomechanics of the Hip
Teach the ELDOA Postures of the Hip
Descriptive Anatomy and Kapandji Biomechanics of the Shoulder comples
Teach the ELDOA Postures of the Shoulder complex
Descriptive Anatomy of the Trunk and Kapandji Biomechanics of the Ribcage and Sternum
Teach the ELDOA Postures for the Ribcage and Sternum
Factors of Progression
Fascia Overview
Discuss the Importance of a Home Program
Discuss the Examination for ELDOA Level 4 – ELDOA Trainer
At the end of the course, participants receive a Certificate of Completion as a Student-Practitioner Level 3.
Level 4
ELDOA 4 is taught by Guy VOYER, DO.
A part of this course is a review of ELDOA Levels 1-3.
The focus of ELDOA 4 is the pelvis and the biomechanics of the pelvis, which include the sacra-iliac joint and the 22 axes of rotation. The ELDOA techniques are taught for these structures.
In order to graduate from ELDOA Level 4 as an ELDOA Trainer, students must pass a written exam about the history of the ELDOA according to Guy VOYER, DO, and discuss the comprehensive methodology that forms the basis of the ELDOA techniques.
Students present two ELDOA techniques and their corrections in front of Dr. VOYER as part of a practical examination. Marks will be given and students must pass these tests before proceeding to ELDOA Level 5.
Level 5
The goal of ELDOA 5 courses is to take the ELDOA Therapist from a foundational understanding of the spine taught in ELDOA 1-4 and to advance the working knowledge of what is happening in the world of spinal pathology and back pain.
ELDOA Therapist must have an understanding of normal and abnormal spinal function and degenerative conditions.
ELDOA Level 5 is organized into 3 courses, ELDOA 5.1, 5.2 and 5.3 and is taught only by Guy VOYER, DO.
5.1 is a 4 day course
5.2 is a 4 day course
5.3 is a 3 day course
5.1 COURSE DESCRIPTION:
ELDOA Therapists need to have a thorough understanding of the anatomy, classic biomechanics, tensegrity biomechanics and orthopedic spinal disorders with respect to general spinal pathologies and back pain.
The teaching focuses on the specific causes of spinal pathologies and back pain.
The spinal pathologies are discussed, compared and contrasted in order to correctly select and apply the respective ELDOA.
5.2 COURSE DESCRIPTION:
ELDOA 5.2 is a 4 day course: With surgery becoming more common-place people are looking beyond Western medicine to help relieve their spinal disease or back pain.
An ELDOA Therapist isn’t an MD but needs to have a working knowledge of spinal pathologies.
5.3 COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Description to come

THE GOAL OF LEVEL 5:
The goal of ELDOA Therapist 5 is to leave with an in-depth level of anatomical, classic biomechanical, tensegrity biomechanics in relationship to spinal pathologies.
This knowledge will allow therapists to work within a gym setting, sports team setting, clinic etc., with all aspects of back pain, or performance from a certified ELDOA group class to one on one private sessions whether it be sport specific or for specific spinal pathologies
Level 6
ELDOA Level 6 is the top level of the ELDOA Program.
Level 6 is a review of all 5 levels but using tensegrity biomechanics. Specific adaptations of the classic postures taught in levels 1-5 will be discussed as well.
Level 6 is organized into two parts. Part one focuses on the tensegrity biomechanics and the techno-methodology. In the second part, practitioners will take an exam to prove their level of proficiency with the material followed by a graduation.
